Gary & Kathleen Wilson
Principal

Gary D. Wilson has accepted the position of principal of Bass Memorial Academy.  Elder Wilson graduated from Walla Walla College with a major in Biology and minors in Religion and Chemistry.  He holds a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Andrews University.  He has served in the mission field and as principal of a boarding academy.
Under his leadership three new day academies have also been established.

    Elder Wilson's
leadership has a three point focus: spiritual life, academic level, and customer service.  He has been able to balance the unique blend of high academics and spirituality along with an active sports program.  His passion is for students to be involved in the mission of the church and to be committted and connected to Jesus as they achieve the academic level of which they are capable.

For one of his summer projects, Elder Wilson is coordinating 28 evangelistic campaigns in the Dominican Republic for ShareHim.   He will be back in the States on July 7.  Mrs. Wilson, also a teacher, currently is the quarry leader and microfossil research participant on a special creationist dinosaur dig project in the Pacific Northwest.  She has been a part of these research projects for the past nine years.  The Wilsons are humbled and excited about joining the BMA staff and moving to Mississippi.

History

Brian will be teaching history at Bass Memorial Academy this fall. He graduated from Southern Adventist University with a BA in History and in International Studies.

His love for history began while attending Highland View Academy in Maryland. "My history teacher made history come alive," he says. His goal is to create the same learning experience for his students. "History is important because it is the way we see where we came from and learn how to take from the past what we experienced and improve on it," Gauthier explains.

Gauthier has many interests including playing the guitar and mandolin, Civil War Reenactments and collecting artifacts.  He spent one semester in Italy studying at Villa Auora Theological and Language College. "I went because of the food, the language (which he now speaks) and the history," he says.
